Lost in Living

A feature documentary by Mary Trunk, 2013

Motherhood is a life altering event for those who enter into it, especially artists whose existence rests on self centered pursuits. Filmed over seven years, Lost In Living is an exceptionally candid look at the reality of identity transformation when you become responsible for other human beings. The film follows four artists, two long standing best friends who are both pregnant for the first time and two mothers with adult children and established art careers.

Lost in Living is available on DVD and was funded by Kickstarter.

Thank you so much for writing about my film and all of your kind words and support. I so appreciate it and I am happy to hear you resonated with it. I love both of your work so much. It’s wonderful to make these discoveries of work that I truly resonate with. Thanks again!!!

The film trailer in-and-of-itself is enticing and beautiful. I am especially interested in this film because parenthood is a subject that has begun to circulate within our lives and I truly question if I would be able to handle juggling children and a career as an artist to the extent that I have been striving toward. I can’t wait to watch this journey!
